Command &Conquer FREE

FREE DOWNLOAD LAPTOP  |  Although not the first game, Command & Conquer became synonymous with the kind of real-time strategy game when the first game in the series was released in 1995. Along with Blizzard's Warcraft II, Command & Conquer helped build the foundation for one of the genre's most beloved PC game, defining many of the real-time strategy conventions that are used today. And though Command & Conquer has seen highs and lows over the years, a unique series', is politically incorrect, comic-book-like take on modern warfare has remained intact throughout, and upheld in the latest entry in the series, command & Conquer : Generals. More importantly, Generals is easily one of the best Command & Conquer games yet, with impressive visuals and gameplay are very smooth and can be accessed that has come to characterize the best entries in this genre. Die-hard fans of Command & Conquer may lament a general departure made from the roots of the series', and the game does have some rough edges, but Generals is still one of the real-time strategy game best around.

General fiction premise of 'putting the United States, China, and the terrorist group called the Global Liberation Army (GLA) conflict sometime in the near future. You can play as one of the factions in his own brief single-player campaign, the battle with a computer opponent, or against other players via LAN or use-player online game matching service. Those who played the two previous Command & Conquer RTS games, Red Alert 2 and the expansion pack, Yuri's Revenge, will note that the General is very reminiscent of those games, although it looks much better and looks more conventional variety of infantry, tanks, and planes. As in Red Alert 2, battles in Generals are often quick and decisive, especially as the great power of many units of the game, Super weapons destroyed in the presence of each side, and the speed is generally fast. Also, while each faction has a good range of units at your disposal, you might get the impression that the number of species per unit of factions is limited so that each type of unit can play an important role in fighting any part - and also to leave room for the expansion pack. Lack of sailors unit in the game is disappointing omission, given the importance of ships in most previous Command & Conquer games (not to mention in actual modern warfare), but the designers are still doing an excellent job of imaginatively differentiating the game three sides.

Despite the fact that the central conflict of the game involves the United States and the Middle East clearly a terrorist group, the action is good enough general over-the-top enough or abstract, good or bad, should not offend anyone. In fact, as if to go home the sense that "Hey, it's just a game," there really is no story at all to Generals. Motivation of each of the factions are not made clear, and the weapons they are quite far from reality that Generals seems much less inspired by current events and much more so with the current fascination with the war in our popular culture. Films such as The Rock and Black Hawk Down certainly played a larger role in inspiring the game look and style than anything else on the evening news. It bears mentioning that almost all the flagship Command & Conquer environment can still be found in Generals - fans will be pleased to see a large, double-barreled tanks, crack-shot commandos, nuclear missile silos, flamethrower tanks, and others such as C & C mainstay backed up and look better than ever. Many twists added to Red Alert 2 remain intact as well, such as the ability for infantry in civilian buildings and the ability of units to gain experience levels by defeating enemies.

Another aspect of the new Command & Conquer are decidedly different. C & C fans may not be seen directly, but the General does not have some of the signature elements of the series'. For such games, Command & Conquer has always done a good job with their installation programs, many of which put you in a game even before you can start playing. But Generals has a boring install program, like any other game. Also, previous Command & Conquer games take advantage of the incredible full-motion video cutscenes to move their story along. Featuring recognizable actors, hammy performances, and surprisingly good production values, full-motion video sequences of Command & Conquer has always been a distinguishing feature of the series - but the FMV is out of the picture now. These complaints hardly bear mentioning, but the legacy of General of the consideration ', they are irrelevant.
